Babel

Pintura: Torre de Babel, por Brueghel

Couldn’t we pick a better place to romance?
Why to choose the place where every truth disguises?
Isn’t it confusing when we join our lips?
That we don’t know if its love, or the Judas kiss?

Why is this so weird, that I don’t know what’s true?
Do we really have to play all this moves?
Do we complicate in the wings of games
In a matter where we should be quite straight?

Ain’t loving in the land of the Babylon
Frustrates me when I get involved
The weirdest game wearing disguises,
Stabbing with a truth that hides

Playing rolls and scripts that we barely act
Building with the left, and destroying with the right
Speaking different languages, one of those is truth
Babel tower goes but... where are we going to?

Teasing with a mind, running with the feet,
Speaking cold as ice, otherwise it switches
Love in Babylon is not a thing I want,
If you want this love, find another land..

Can the Babel love go thru thick and thin
Thru the ups and downs, like we really need?
Can you stand the rain when the sun hides out?
Can you be for real, even if it’s sour?

Are you going to flirt with foreigner tongue
With those who also have good words for you?
Will you forget again when someone does show?
Will you fake your love, telling now is truth?

Are you going to play in another roll?
Going to learn his brand new dialect?
Are you going to act while he performs?
And water our plants when you feel that’s dead?

It’s you who you’re cheating when you’re cheating,
It’s me who’s winning when I loose you
Your fan club dies out slowly eroding,
When we find out you act like you do.

Our hearts do no speak the same language,
No chance to love in Babel tower
No seeds of love in all this fake field
You proved being wrong with that flirt power.

Yeah, am hurted
I ain't loving in the Babel tower
Yeah you're right, am burdened
I am not in mood of loving you nowhere.
